Many of you may not have ever heard of EMDR. EMDR is an extensively researched and evidence-based method for helping people move through their past experiences and achieving a more positive present day life without the intrusive negative self-beliefs that often accompany these difficult experiences. 


Research has shown that our brains cannot process

information correctly when a person  is overstimulated,

troubled, in danger, or overwhelmed. The memory of

what happened becomes “stuck” in the neuropathways

of our brains leading to future triggers of the event,

negative self-beliefs, and misperceptions.


EMDR is the key to unlocking these stuck memories and

moving them into a fully processed memory of the event,

which carries less negative impact- in other words,



The memories are not forgotten but they are

in a sense cleared, leaving the individual to move in a

more positive direction. 


Studies confirm the results of EMDR to be highly effective and enduring, even surpassing the effectiveness of some medications used to help alleviate symptoms such as anxiety and depression.

Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core Neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and viral righty of other challenging symptoms.

Brainspotting makes use of the natural phenomenon of where you look affects how you feel through its use of relevant eye positions. Together the therapist and client pair a fixed opposition and body sensation to an unresolved issue. This rapid, highly effective mind/body centered therapy technique appears to go beyond the cognitive awareness and connect one to their bodies innate wisdom to heal itself.

What if I don't have trauma?

We all have experienced trauma in some capacity, whether it be from distressing events, adverse childhood experiences, and met emotional needs, or abuse and neglect. Brainspotting can take Therapy to another level of healing. If you are uncomfortable with talking about your past traumatic experiences, this modality will enable you to heal without having to tell or retail your story. Lastly, Brainspotting can be used to enhance performance, creativity, and create regulation in your brain and body.
